“My background is in hospital equipment sales but recruitment appealed to me for some time before I eventually made the move. I’m a people person, and recruitment gives me the opportunity to liaise with people from all different walks of life, allowing me to broaden and build upon my skills.
I love the ‘feel good factor’ involved with working alongside candidates to find their perfect role at whatever stage they are at in their career, and I enjoy the tenacity and sheer hard work involved in building relationships with clients. I’d never worked in recruitment before I came to Tay and I attended several interviews in order to find that ‘perfect match’. They dedicated a lot of time to my interview and throughout the process I met all the consultants, and every single one of them displayed a real passion about their roles. All of their responses to my questions were in line and it was immediately obvious they were a strong team who supported each other. Working with people who are driven, and supportive in helping new members grow and achieve their goals, was really important to me – especially as I was new to the industry.
There are highs and lows working in recruitment, but nothing I have felt in my career before compares to the highs.
